JOB DESCRIPTION
One Postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Division of Molecular Radiation Biology/Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Texas Health Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. The applicant will work on elucidating the biochemical and genetic basis of radiosensitivity associated with a biologically distinct subset of non small cell lung cancers. Projects will involve mechanisms underlying repair of radiation-induced DNA damage, receptor tyrosine kinase signaling, and signaling pathways that regulate radiation-induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.
The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, or other related fields, with a strong record of creativity and scientific productivity. The candidate must be creative, self-motivated with clear career goals, possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, and be capable of working independently or with minimum supervision in a collaborative setting. Candidate must be able to handle more than one project and work in a fast-paced work environment.

BRAIN PLASTICITY POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
A well-funded post-doctoral research position is available at University of Texas at Dallas Center for BrainHealth and the Advanced Imaging Research Center at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. This position presents the opportunity to design and conduct neuroimaging and cognitive studies focused on normal aging, and aging populations with degenerative diseases including Alzheimers disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment, and Frontotemporal dementias.
Candidates must have an advanced degree (PhD or MD) in cognitive neuroscience, medicine, or medical imaging.
UTD and UTSW have embarked on a multi-million dollar expansion of human neuroscience research that includes a new 6-story $60M Advanced Imaging Research Center (AIRC) and the unique, multi-disciplinary Center for Brain Health. The Center is housed in anewly constructed state-of-the artbuilding and is the site of more than 30 ongoing projects based on active multi-disciplinary collaborations among Neurologists, Cognitive Scientists, Rehabilitation experts and Biophysicists.
