USA – University of Texas Postdoctoral Fellowship in Brain Plasticity
BRAIN PLASTICITY POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
A well-funded post-doctoral research position is available at University of Texas at Dallas Center for BrainHealth and the Advanced Imaging Research Center at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. This position presents the opportunity to design and conduct neuroimaging and cognitive studies focused on normal aging, and aging populations with degenerative diseases including Alzheimers disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment, and Frontotemporal dementias.
Candidates must have an advanced degree (PhD or MD) in cognitive neuroscience, medicine, or medical imaging.
UTD and UTSW have embarked on a multi-million dollar expansion of human neuroscience research that includes a new 6-story $60M Advanced Imaging Research Center (AIRC) and the unique, multi-disciplinary Center for Brain Health. The Center is housed in anewly constructed state-of-the artbuilding and is the site of more than 30 ongoing projects based on active multi-disciplinary collaborations among Neurologists, Cognitive Scientists, Rehabilitation experts and Biophysicists.
The AIRC houses several high-field, research-dedicated MR systems including research-dedicated Philips 3T and 7T Human systems. The AIRC is performing state-of-the-art studies in brain morphometry, function, perfusion, DTI, and MRS. These joint cognitive neuroimaging projects will be under the supervision of Drs. John Hart, Sandra Chapman, and Hanzhang Lu.

I have alot of good reasos to make two crucial comments which i believe to be helpful to all who might get an opportunity to read
I wish to say that i like the way these schorlaships are offered but i recommend that African countries to be given priority as we all full aware that they are poor and they need their people to be trained in order to help their countries econmics to grow .
Secondly Why many western countries are offering schorlashipwith tight conditions? this is to deny the others right to access these schorlarships
Last an issue of language profiency must be careful checked as we real;ize that there are countries which are not native English speakers but their academic systemis all operated in English language since primary level to University level. No logic to demand from an applicant who come from a country like that submit the English profiency
