Aurora and Cranfield School of Management are delighted to continue to offer the Aurora - Cranfield MBA Scholarships for Women which were launched in 2006. The Scholarships will cover the full tuition fees of the programme and are worth £28,000. There is one scholarship available for the one-year Full-time MBA starting in September 2008 and one for the two-year Executive MBA (Part-time or Modular), starting in January 2009.

The Cranfield MBA - accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA - is ranked as one of the world’s leading business schools. This unique opportunity is open only to members of the Aurora network.

Candidates are required to meet the normal admissions criteria for the Cranfield MBA.

The application form includes a scholarship section where candidates must set out in no more than 750 words why they should be considered for one of the Aurora–Cranfield MBA Scholarships. The deadline for scholarship applications is 27 June 2008 for the Full-time MBA and 14 November 2008 for the Executive MBA.

Entrance requirements

a good degree and/or professional qualification
a minimum of three years’ post-qualification work experience
a good balanced GMAT score of around 600 (the average at Cranfield is 660) or a good score in the Cranfield Admissions Tests*
if English is not your first language, the International English Language Test System (IELTS) – result in band 7, or a TOEFL score of 250 (computer test) or 100 (internet test) or 600 (paper test)

Admission outside of the above guidelines may be possible for exceptional candidates. If you are unsure of your suitability for the Cranfield MBA, you can complete our short on-line pre-application assessment form, and we will review your details before you make a formal application.

*If you are invited to Cranfield for interview, you may be able to take the Cranfield Admission Tests as an alternative to GMAT. However, we strongly recommend that candidates for the Full-time MBA take GMAT.

There is no final date for submission of applications and places are offered on a rolling basis. However, we recommend the following dates:

Full-time MBA programme - 27 June 2008
Executive MBA programmes - 14 November 2008

We encourage you to come to Cranfield for interview. If you are based outside Europe and are unable to travel to the UK, we will arrange an interview either with a travelling member of faculty or by telephone.

Selection procedure
If you appear to possess the necessary qualifications, you will be invited to come to Cranfield for interview.

We use seven main points of reference in our judgement of your suitability for the MBA programme:

your reasons for wishing to attend Cranfield’s MBA course at this point in your career
your academic or professional qualifications
your test scores (GMAT/Cranfield Tests)
your career to date
your referees’ opinions
your potential for senior management roles
the conclusions reached by the interviewer.
