Germany – University of Stuttgart PhD Positions in Various Areas of Computer Science
The Institute of Parallel and Distributed Systems (IPVS) is offering Ph.D. positions in following areas:
- Context-Aware Mobile Computing,
- Adaptive Communication System,
- Self-Organizing Software Systems,
- Sensor Networks.
We offer an attractive working environment providing well equipped research laboratories. The department has been successful in establishing collaborations with many academic as well as industrial partners on international and national level. A significant amount of research is performed within Nexus, a research cluster of excellence on mobile context-aware systems, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
The University of Stuttgart wishes to increase the share of women working in science and is particularly interested in applications of women. Moreover, Nexus offers attractive support for child care if the employee is a single parent or the other parent is full-time employed. Applications of severely challenged people are given preference if applicants are equally qualified.
Prerequisites
We expect an excellent M.Sc./Diplom degree in computer science as well as in depth knowledge in the area of distributed systems or computer networking.
