Saudi Arabia - KAUST Discovery Scholarships for Current Undergraduate Students to achieve Master’s Degree

The KAUST Discovery Scholarship is the general scholarship program of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).
This program is designed to ensure that any highly talented student who is qualified and eligible to enroll in KAUST will receive full financial support while at the University. Those who receive a Discovery Scholarship will receive full tuition support, a living stipend, and summer and career enrichment programs.
KAUST will offer Discovery Scholarships to all KAUST students – an exceptional level of support intended to attract gifted and talented students from Saudi Arabia and from other countries around the world.
KAUST will offer a pre-enrollment version of this general scholarship program to students attending first-university or bachelor’s degree programs. KAUST will provide financial support to pre-enrollment Discovery Scholarship recipients at their home institutions prior to the University’s opening. Upon graduation, these students will enter KAUST as master’s degree students in September 2009 and 2010 to complete their graduate studies on a fully funded scholarship.
Recipients of the KAUST Discovery Scholarship represent future leaders in science, engineering and technology.
Students may apply for a KAUST Discovery Scholarship directly, or they may be nominated by a professor at their institution.
All applicants must fully complete their online application and send or attach all required documents by November 9, 2007.
The Discovery Application deadline has been extended to May 25, 2008
Your supplemental documents (academic transcripts, English language proficiency test score such as TOEFL/IELTS) not included in your online application must be received by the KAUST Scholarships office by May 25, 2008 or earlier. You may scan and e-mail copies of official TOEFL/ IELTS results to scholarships@kaust.edu.sa by May 25, 2008. Applicants who are unable to produce an English language proficiency test score by the deadline may still apply. If selected, the award offer will be considered conditional until the student can provide a satisfactory test score at a later date.

KAUST Discovery Scholarship untuk mahasiswa di Indonesia
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) adalah sebuah universitas berskala internasional yang berbasis riset di bidang science dan teknologi yang berlokasi di Arab Saudi.
KAUST menawarkan program beasiswa yang disebut KAUST Discovery Scholarship diperuntukkan bagi mahasiswa S1 dari bidang studi Science dan Teknologi di perguruan tinggi manapun di Indonesia.
Persyaratan:
- Terdaftar aktif pada tahun ajaran 2007/2008 sebagai mahasiswa S1 tahun ketiga keatas dari jurusan teknik dan science di perguruan tinggi manapun di Indonesia
- Memiliki prestasi akademik dan/atau pengalaman riset yang memuaskan
- Memiliki kemampuan Bahasa Inggris yang baik, dengan syarat: memiliki skor minimal 550 (TOEFL-PBT) atau 213 (TOEFL Computer-Based) atau 79-80 (TOEFL Internet-Based) atau 6.0 (IELTS)
- Pada Agustus 2009 sudah bisa memulai pendidikan S2 di King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Arab Saudi
Beasiswa yang diberikan mencakup:
- Selama periode kuliah S1
- Seluruh biaya kuliah (SPP dan biaya lain) sampai lulus kuliah S1
- Tunjangan hidup
- Tunjangan buku
- Tunjangan laptop/komputer
- Kesempatan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan-kegiatan akademik (global workshop, regional workshop, seminar, dll) yang diadakan oleh KAUST, baik di kampus KAUST di Arab Saudi maupun di negara lain (seluruh biaya ditanggung)
- Setelah lulus kuliah S1
- Diterima untuk melanjutkan Program S2 di King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Arab Saudi; dan berhak atas
- Beasiswa penuh yang meliputi tuition, akomodasi dan tunjangan transportasi – hingga lulus
Cara Mendaftar:
Pendaftaran hanya bisa dilakukan secara online di website: www.kaust.edu.sa paling lambat tanggal 9 NOVEMBER 2007.
Pendaftaran diperpanjang hingga tanggal 25 Mei 2008.
