I am holder of Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science (GPA 3.38/4.00)with close to four years work experience in the field of rural development and environmental Protection. Working with the communities in Cameroon i have realised there a lot of challenges Cameroon and AFrica in general faces witt respect to environmental sanitation. This given that there very few trained experts who can address present issues and emerging issues in the domain. I applied sometime ago after my university studies for and MSc in Environmental Sanitation at the University of Gent and had a place but could not take up the place because of limited finances and i could not get a schorship to take up my place. I decided to work so as to get the necessary work experience to complement the knowledge acquired at undergraduate level. I wish to get information on how i can make an application to acquire relevent knowledge which will equip me to contribute to the human course.

  • 67. JOSEPH KARANJA  |  February 10th, 2007 at 6:25 am

my name is joseph karanja from kenya a gradaute from a public university in kenya in the faculty of education(Arts).I majored in teaching of Economics & Mathematics at secondary school level.
I have been working with a micro finance institution for the last four years as a development finance officer working with the most vulnerable groups(poor active), in rural areas and sub-urbans of eastern province of kenya.

I am looking for a study scholarship in micro finance/micro enterprise development with a key mission of returning to kenya to help in development mission. My main objective is empowering the youths form the major potion of the unemployed yet they are learned.I feel what this country needs so much is hands on training in business skills and also on financial management skills.poverty, illiteracy, mortality, unemployment, crimes due to joblessness,e.t.c are at peak in kenya.I have a deep conviction that micro finance shall be one of the tools towards eradication of the above drawbacks and accelerate development. This can only be achieved with well trained personnel in micro finance and organising trainings at the grassroot level for financial availability without knowledge on management shall still not bear good fruits.

I therefore humbly submit my request to all for advice on how I may get a study scholarship in micro finance or micro enterprise development.
    thank you in adavnce.

I am a Sri Lankan Female. 43 years old. I recieved my B.Sc. (General) with 2nd class upper in physical science in 1990 (I was to obtain B.Sc. in 1987. But due to a crisis period in our country, universities kept closed for about 3 years. Because of that I could recieve my degree three years late.) and Postgraduate diploma in Applied Statistics in 1992.
In 1992 I found my present post as a Assistant Statisticain in the University system in Sri Lanka. I got confirmed in the post from my Postgraduate diploma. From october, 2006 I was transfered to the medical faculty of the university. At medical faculty I have to support for statistical analysis of the medical researches.
I am a mother of 2 kids. Since I had a very hard time to look after kids and go to office when the kids were small I couldn’t conitnue my studies. Now kids are grown and independent.
Eventhough now my age is in unconsiderable range for scholarship offers, I do this write with a posiitive hope. Since I need to obtain a 2 (or more)years postgraduate research degree for my promotion and If I could do my that postgraduate degree in medical statistics then it would be a strong hand for me to involve in medical statistical analysis.

  • 185. Maruf  |  March 4th, 2007 at 2:53 am

    Dear Sir / Madam,
I, Maruf Ahmed, have completed Bachelors in Computing and Information System, BCIS (Hons.) examination under NCC Education Ltd. / London Metropolitan University joint programme in June 2006. The examination was conducted by British Council and I obtained First Class with GPS 116 out of a maximum possible128 with an average marks of 70% and above. The result was published in October, 2006.

At present I am teaching Computing in an English medium O’ Level school in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have been working there since January, 2000. However, my aspiration is to have higher education in Business Administration and I do intend to change my subject to avail of a Post Graduate degree in MBA in the coming session. I feel that MBA will provide me with wider range of opportunities to contribute to the development of my country’s economy. However if it is not possible to get the scholarship in MBA then I am ready for any other scholarship related to Computing.

I have obtained 6.50 in IELTS test that was taken on 03.02.07.

I want to get information of the universities from around the world that gives full scholarship for post graduate studies.

    Thanking you.

    Maruf Ahmed
