M.SC PROJECT:

Synthesis of Benzophenone derivatives by Microwave Assisted Fries Rearrangement

Synthesis of Benzophenone Derivatives generally requires 6-10 hours by using Alcl3 (Lewis Acid) Catalyst. The yield of Product is 60-80% and isomers of Benzophenones are produced.

In microwave assisted fries rearrangement, the product is formed within minute i.e.1-3 min.and only one isomer is formed and the yield of product is 80-90%

The formed produced is confirmed by NMR, And IR Spectroscopic Methods. The formed product is absolutely pure and checked by it’s authentic.

The microwave assisted fries rearrangement is using H2SO4 as a catalyst in place of Alcl3 and using silica gel as solid support in microwave assisted rearrangement.

This reaction is reported in sealed tube but it is not reported in open mouth vessel yet.Reaction in sealed tube is hazardus because it may cause explosion due to developing unwanted pressure in the tube.

The reaction in open mouth vessel is less polluted & required short time.

My name is Morahem Ashengroph. I am 29 years old man from Iran. I have M.Sc. degree in the field of Microbiology from Tehran University. I have done my M.Sc. thesis at the application of isolated halophilic bacteria for removal of toxic oxyanions (tellurite/selenite) from polluted environments in the presence of salt. These findings from our laboratory â€“scale studies are encouraging and should be applicable to industrial effluents containing salt bioremediation. I want to pursue my PhD study in any India university in the fields of Environmental, Industrial and Food Microbiology. Currently I am working as a researcher in a citric acid plant of the country I live in. I will be glad if you help me to find opportunity for upgrade my Microbiology Knowledge. Would you supply me with scholarship or find me information to really satisfy my need. I would like to thank you in advance for considering my application.
