Norway – Chr. Michelsens Institutt Master Scholarship in Middle East / Palestine Conflict
There are currently 2 student scholarships available at CMI of 25 000 NOK each for Masters’ students focusing on the Middle East/Palestine conflict. The scholarships are meant to cover fieldwork expences on the West Bank and are offered in co-operation with Muwatin – the Palestinian Institute for the Study of Democracy. Muwatin will provide office space and assistance during the fieldwork.
CMI seeks candidates who have recently started their Masters focusing on one of the following themes:
- Islam, politics and “political Islam Human Rights
- Women and gender
- Political violence
- Democratisation and statebuilding
- Peacebuilding, peaceoperations and reconciliation
CMI offers office space, an exciting and stimulating environment, a rich library and possibilities for project work. We seek committed students who can work independently. The students will become members of the thematic research group “Peace, Conflict and the State” and the research programme “Politics of Faith”.
