A doctoral position (Ph.D.) is available to work on Intelligent Signal Processing for Environment-Sensitive Hearing Aid Device. The project is supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and Siemens Audiologische Tecknik GmbH. The Ph.D. researcher will join the Signal Processing Oriented Technology group (http://www.site.uOttawa.ca/research/spot) working with researchers from the University of Ottawa and Carleton University.

Applicants must possess an M.S. degree and strong academic record. Knowledge of some of the following topics is required: intelligent classification of environment, understanding of hearing aid technology, advanced signal processing including signal enhancement, blind signal separation, signal de-noising. Good oral and written English skills are required.
This position is open to citizens of any nationality, but preference will be given to citizens and permanent residents of Canada. The starting date is as soon as possible. The position remains open until a suitable candidate is found. I am Ethiopian a graduated of Computer science my Age is 25, Sex male, i have 4 years work experience and now i am working as data administrator in NGO(none governmental organization) Which is I-TCH Ethiopia, it is an American project in Ethiopia by giving the medicine of HIV ADIS, which is ART.
As you know our country Ethiopia is under developed country. B/c of this USA helps us this ART medicine beside i hope you know my country Ethiopia is one of the country in Africa affected by HIV ADS, it is un developed and it is the most poor by the case of this we have a shortage of understanding with HIV ADS, b/c we are not developed technically and information communication. as i told you in the above sentences i working in the USA organization which is I-TCH Ethiopia. so, by upgrading my profession/specialized/ which is computer science to Masters degree program to solve all these problem.

I am from Iran ,I have some paper and research in “optimization of Dsp systems such as speach recognition and filter design with GA” ,”optimization of Rf circuit design with GA”,”optimization of neural network design for speech recognition and linear filtering” and…
I want to get a scholarship or fellowship for my post graduate or PhD in AI or Dsp systems. I like to get it for help in researche program,If it is posible .Please help me if you can.
