am M.S.c in biophysics at International Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics ( IBB ). In following I list my researches:
1-theoritical insight to expression of Growth factors
2-radiation effect on some growth factors expression and shedding.
    http://www.ibb.ut.ac.ir/seminars/psb_85_2.htm
5- new insight to gene evolution from biothermodynamic sight.
my last resaerch was on evolutionary genetic.I was interested about it and I like to continue my PhD in this field.I have some idea about it and like do it in my future PhD thesis.
During of my MSc I passed molecular biophysics, biothermodynamic, biophysical chemistry, bioinformatics and … courses. I am familiar with some databases (such as PDB, EMBL, SWISSPROT, EBI, NCBI, PIR…) and some program for data analysis (BLAST, FASTA, CLAWSTALL…) and some software (WEB lab viewer lite …) of bioinformatics .I am familliar with c programming ,too. I have a sound knowledge of the following methods / techniques Such as: RT-PCR, Comet assay, Animal cell culture, gel Electrophoresis, Ion Exchange chromatography, too.
I will enthusiastically wait for your positive earliest response
    for beginning my Ph.D study.

  • 42. Jayanta Kumar Ghosh  |  March 14th, 2007 at 8:04 pm

    Sir,
I am looking for a post-doctoral position in the area of Bio-Physics. Right now, I have been working since January 2006 in the area of Bio-physics as a Post Doctoral Fellow in USA.

My Ph.D. research work involves Excited State Chemistry, Spectroscopy and Surface Chemistry. The photo-processes have been studied with different fluorophores in homogeneous and micro-heterogeneous liquid environments like aqueous micelles, reverse micelles etc. I have also studied the processes using photovoltametry in different organised media.

In my post doctoral tenure, I am working to determine
    • the thermodynamic parameters of the folding – unfolding equilibrium of beta-hairpins at the single amino acid level by 13C isotope labeling using FTIR, and
    • the dynamics parameters of the different fragments along the secondary structure of the beta-hairpin folding and unfolding at the single residue level by 13C isotope labeling using the laser induced temperature jump with infrared detection.

I am keenly interested to continue my research with my present experiences in protein-folding and my previous knowledge in Physical Chemistry.
    Regards,
    Jayanta Kumar Ghosh
